Court grants bail to the 5 accused in the Pampoenkraal murders


Daniel Malan, Cornelius Greyling, Othard Klingberg, Michael Sternberg and Zenzele Yende were granted bail on Friday morning.

They are accused of killing two brothers, Zenzele and Amos Coka, at the Pampoenkraal farm.

They appeared in the  Retief Magistrate’s Court in Mkhondo on Friday.

Magistrate Sam Fankomo released the five men on R10 000 bail each.

“The court rules that the applicants have been able to discharge of their honours to demonstrate to the court that is in the interest of the justice that they be released on bail,”  Fankomo said in his ruling.

The court has also ordered the accused not to interfere with the witness.
